Christmas? BAH HUMBUG

Ok I AM going to say it:

I HATE CHRISTMAS Bah humbug...

What is the matter with people? Why do most people who celebrate it, wait till the very last SECOND to do their shopping? What the heck is up with all the pushing and shoving when your standing in a queue? And RUDE? Does everyone suddenly forget that they are human?

I don't celebrate Christmas. But like all other days, I still have to go shopping, and because the holiday season is here I have to do some extra shopping to make up for the shop closures.

So there I am toddling about looking at the "seasonal wares" and debating on whether to treat the kids. I happened to be looking at Chocolate coins, with the idea that the kids would like these novelty sweets while playing their pirate games. Along came a rather rude and well proportioned lady, and shoved me out the way! (I am not altogether "small" but she was twice the size of me) She then proceeded to buy the whole flaming box full of coins >.<

This annoyed me to the extent that I then asked her could she say sorry at least for knocking me out of the way. Expecting just a quick "oh I am sorry.. blah..blah" I flashed her a smile.

What happened next stunned me to the spot, and made me think to myself "no wonder the kids of today are like they are..look at the role models"

She turned to me, as red in the face as I have ever seen anyone be, and gave me a mouthful of obscenities that even I don't know the meaning of some of them. Then to top it off, (and at this stage I was now bright red with embarrassment) She accused ME of pushing HER out of the way, all the time her voice was growing in the loudness department.

Trying my best to keep calm, (trust me, this is one of my very weak points) I politely nodded and apologised. Said I was sorry if I appeared rude. Thinking that would subdue the now very, very angry person, I turned my back to try and walk away.

She threw a packet of coins at me!!! Then told me to "stick them where the sun doesn’t like to shine"

I am not sure if someone had called management, or due to the mouth on that lady, (should I continue on calling her that?) the manager had come to see what the commotion was, but he was there and witnessed her throwing the packet at me. I was rubbing the back of my arm, (which now has a nice bruise on it) and the security and manager escorted us both off the shop floor.
To cut the story short. We were taken into his office, he asked me if I wanted to press charges. For what?? Rudeness. No, I think she just needs to go to finishing, and starting school. Then maybe elocution lessons.. then maybe.....well you get the idea.

It shocks me that adults can act like this.

That is absolutley disgraceful! How could you cause such a scene? ;P Just kidding.

I hate shopping at this time of year as well. Probably everyone does, but other peoples greed during this season of "giving" absolutely astounds me. Now I'm really scared to go and do my shopping, being in the fragile state that I am in. If anyone treats me like that I don't know what I'll do - either kill them or just burst into tears.

Please Mum, I don't want to go, please don't make me go...
